The MND Urges Relevant Countries not to Turn the Asia-Pacific into a Hunting Ground for Geopolitical Rivalry
4月9日下午，國(guó)防部新聞發(fā)言人張曉剛大校就近期涉軍問(wèn)題發(fā)布消息。
記者：據(jù)報(bào)道，美防長(zhǎng)訪日時(shí)稱，“武士之國(guó)”日本在“應(yīng)對(duì)中國(guó)‘侵略’中不可或缺”，贊美硫磺島戰(zhàn)役中日軍的“勇敢精神”，相關(guān)言論在美國(guó)內(nèi)引發(fā)質(zhì)疑。請(qǐng)問(wèn)發(fā)言人有何評(píng)論？
Question: It is reported that during the US Secretary of Defense’s visit to Japan, he said Japan as a “warrior country” was “indispensable for tackling Chinese aggression” and complimented the “valor” of Japanese soldiers in the Battle of Iwo Jima. His remarks have aroused controversies in the US. Do you have any comment?
張曉剛：歷史不容淡忘，是非不能混淆。誰(shuí)發(fā)動(dòng)戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)，誰(shuí)搞侵略擴(kuò)張，誰(shuí)在維護(hù)和平，國(guó)際社會(huì)早有公論。今年是中國(guó)人民抗日戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)暨世界反法西斯戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)勝利80周年。美方有的人搞政治作秀、以非為是，只顧著給日本軍國(guó)主義涂脂抹粉，又如何告慰那些為抗擊法西斯英勇?tīng)奚膽?zhàn)士們？這在美國(guó)國(guó)內(nèi)引發(fā)了民憤，也必然遭到世人的反對(duì)和歷史的嘲諷。我們敦促有關(guān)國(guó)家停止散播錯(cuò)誤言論，不要把亞太地區(qū)當(dāng)成地緣博弈的“狩獵場(chǎng)”，不要挑動(dòng)集團(tuán)政治和軍事對(duì)抗，損害地區(qū)人民的安全福祉。
Zhang Xiaogang: History shall not be forgotten, and the right and wrong must not be confused. The international community has long had a fair judgment on who launched wars, aggression and expansion, and who fought for peace during the second World War. This year marks the 80th year of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Some people in the US are making a political stunt by distorting facts and whitewashing Japan’s militarism. It is a betrayal to soldiers who died in fighting fascists and has aroused public anger back in the US. It will surely be opposed by the international community and disdained by history. We urge relevant countries to stop making erroneous comments, stop turning the Asia-Pacific into a hunting ground for geopolitical rivalry, stop stoking bloc politics and military confrontation, and stop undermining security and well-being of people in the region.
