GUIYANG, May 23 -- Two separate landslides struck Changshi and Guowa townships in Dafang County, southwest China's Guizhou Province, at around 3:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As of 2:00 p.m. of the same day, the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) and the Chinese People's Armed Police (PAP) Force had dispatched multiple troops for rescue mission in Dafang County.

According to the PLA Guizhou Provincial Military Command, after the disaster, the Bijie Military Sub-Command mobilized about 120 officers and soldiers as well as militiamen from the surrounding township militias emergency platoons to join the rescue efforts. The PAP Guizhou Corps quickly launched the emergency plan, and more than 60 troops of the PAP Bijie Detachment arrived at the disaster-stricken area at around noon with professional equipment such as demolition tools and life-saving equipment.
據(jù)貴州省軍區(qū)消息,災(zāi)情發(fā)生后,畢節(jié)軍分區(qū)組織官兵及周邊鄉(xiāng)鎮(zhèn)民兵應(yīng)急排約120人前出一線參加救援任務(wù)。武警貴州總隊迅速啟動應(yīng)急預(yù)案,武警畢節(jié)支隊60余名官兵攜帶破拆工具、救生器材等專業(yè)設(shè)備于12時許抵達救援一線。
